Welcome to the South Okanagan! South Okanagan Properties

Hello my name is Richard Cooper. I was born and raised in the South Okanagan and I love it here! Things weren’t always like this though. When I was young all I wanted was to leave and to go see the world. I left the area to go to university and after my four years I headed off to see the world. I was fortunate enough to travel extensively over the next few years all the while looking for that perfect place, the place I would call home. After a few years I realized that everything I was looking for could be found right here in the South Okanagan…it truly is “everything a person could ever want!”

The South Okanagan runs from Penticton to Osoyoos and encompasses a wide-variety of differing landscapes sure to take your breath away. The South Okanagan is a four-season destination for vacationers and business travelers alike, and, for those of us who are lucky enough to live here, it is a playground of recreation and relaxation.

A spectacular U-Shaped valley, the Okanagan is a world in itself. The Finger Lakes that run from North to South create stunning vistas and all season recreation and enjoyment, as well as providing water for the world renowned Okanagan vineyards and orchards. The South Okanagan offers a mosaic of natural beauty all year long. From the semi arid desert cactus in the valley bottom to the champagne powder on the mountain tops, the South Okanagan is definitely unique.

The South Okanagan has its roots in the agricultural sector. From ground crops to orchards and vineyards, the Okanagan is the second most important agricultural region in BC. Just take a drive in any season and you will be stunned by the beauty and tranquility of the surroundings.

To complement its natural beauty, the South Okanagan hosts a multitude of cultural activities, international events, regional festivals, business conventions and sporting events throughout the year. Penticton offers all the amenities of larger urban centres, yet maintains its small town charm and friendliness. Penticton, along with its neighbouring communities, are all great places to work, live and invest in new or existing business.
